When we're off the water, Project Oonagh is what we do.  Project Oonagh is sailboat construction project made possible with the help of the Toms River Seaport Society and the recommendation of Mr. Tom Beaton of David Beaton & Sons.  Project Oonagh is a simple, lug rig sailboat designed by Doug Hylan of Hylan & Brown Boatbuilders Brooklin, Maine.  A very stable sailboat, it is ideal for use on our waters and the perfect build for our group.  

In 2022, the Sailing Foundation of Barnegat Bay awarded Ship 6 a grant to help build our project.  The project is currently well underway and slated to be complete by Spring 2024, in time for our sailing season.

Our build meetings are Tuesday evenings from 7:15pm to 9:00pm in the Joe Lappin Restoration Shop of the Toms River Seaport Society located at 78 E Water St, Toms River, NJ.
