Our Home

Ship 6 is chartered through the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church.  We hold ship building meetings on Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm in the Toms River Seaport Society's Joe Lappin Restoration Shop located at 78 E Water St, Toms River, NJ.  The first Tuesday of each month is our Quarterdeck meeting and all members are encouraged to attend.  Weekend sailing takes place from Spring through Fall. Specialty events and training events run throughout the year.

Team Work

Our unit is a scout run program organized through various leadership positions.  Scouts have the opportunity to run for these positions twice annually.  It is also a rank based system where scouts earn various awards as they build their skill set.  The highest and most distinguished award a Sea Scout can earn is the Quartermaster Award.

Our Program

Ship 6 is a year round program offering scouts and leaders opportunities to get involved in the boating community along the Barnegat Bay and beyond.  Ship 6 is focused on many aspects of sailing and boat building, and is directly involved with the local sailing community.  Adventure, education, community service, and achievement are the building blocks of our program.
